Deep Sea Shark Fishing Charters in Destin Florida, “The World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”.
Are you ready for an adrenaline rush of a lifetime? O Sea D Fishing Charters will help you with that and catch that big shark! A shark charter with O Sea D allows you to get up close and personal with monster-sized sharks!
It is a common misconception that large sharks can only be found in the deeper parts of the Gulf. O Sea D proves that wrong as we catch loads of monster-sized sharks within miles of the shore. Fishing closer to shore is a great benefit when shark fishing as it allows for less travel time and more fishing time. Destin has one of the largest charter fishing fleets in the state of Florida. Tons of fish that are brought back to the harbor to be cleaned every day. The fish get cleaned and the carcasses have to be disposed somewhere. Where? Right outside the Destin pass. This creates an exceptional feeding area for the sharks every day. This constant food source makes for awesome shark fishing and we take full advantage of it. If the sharks are not there at that time, we will run you offshore to catch them on the reefs and wrecks.
We love fishing for the sport and prefer using lighter tackle for sharks – increasing the experience and fight. We all know there is nothing better than screaming drag and we make that happen! It’s common to catch multiple sharks on our shark trips but as you know it’s fishing and does not always yield a shark.
Catch and Release
Captain Jeff is a strong believer in the conservation of our waters and does not believe in killing the sharks. Most people do not eat shark so there is no need to kill them. With today’s video technology we can capture footage of the catch and fish without killing them. Let them live so we can catch them another day!
There are multiple shark species in the Destin area. We primarily catch:
- Bull sharks
- Reef sharks
- Nurse sharks
- Spinner sharks
- Black Tip sharks
- Dusky sharks
- Tiger sharks
- Mako sharks
- Hammerhead sharks
- Sandbar Sharks
- And many other species
The future of our sport is our children. If children have great first experience fishing when they are young, chances are they will love it their entire life. The lessons learned while fishing is invaluable. Patience, perseverance, hard work, respect for nature, enjoying success and handling defeat. The memories you and your children make will last a lifetime so make sure to bring the kids along too.
